Our Dog Adventure Mission
Our mission is to improve the physical health and mental well being of all the dogs in our Sausage Sitter family. We aim to do this by connecting them to their environment and nature, through social safe adventures with fun and enrichment.
We always use positive reinforcement methods and reward your dog's good behavior, listening and 'good canine' social skills.
All our Dog Adventures incorporate the Sausage Sitter’s four key principles of “SAFE”:

Is my dog suitable for your Adventure Programme?
Our Dog Adventures are suitable for most friendly, sociable, active dogs. We can-not provide services for dogs classed as dangerous or those which show agressive behaviour. Read our full terms and conditions for more information.
What area do you cover?
We are located near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, South Wales and our Dog Adventures are mainly based in and around this beautiful area, but occasionally further affield. We offer a local collection service in and around Abergavenny.
How will my dog benefit?
We all worry about leaving our dogs home alone or who we can entrust with their care. We don't want them getting depressed or suffering from separation anxiety, leading them to potentially become destructive by shredding cushions or chewing shoes and furniture, howling or barking at anyone who passes by.
Our Dog Adventures can help with this by giving them the opportunity to get rid of all that pent up energy and frustration.
We achieve this by going to exciting locations where they can interact in small, social, group adventures. During our group adventures we play, we interact with challenges to stimulate their brains and reward with enrichment before returning home tired and calm, both physically and mentally.
How will I benefit?
You can relax knowing your pet is well cared for and stress free.
Remove the worry of ripped up furniture, howling and barking or sinking into depression or anxiety and you can leave the house feeling fine and guilt free!
We will discuss your dog's needs with you to ensure adventures meet their individual requirements.

Is your pet in need of some pamper treatment, clipping/ grooming? Nikki is a fully qualified Dog Groomer.
This can be added to our day care/ boarding packages at competitive rates. Just let us know if you are interested in this add on service.
OUR VAN
A.K.A "The Sausage Machine" our van has been specially and professionally adapted to ensure your dog travels safely, securely and comfortably to and from adventures. The van meets and exceeds the laws and regulations when it comes to transporting dogs.
The van is fully insulated and ventilated to the same standards used by the RSPCA and transportation used for Police Dogs. The specially designed, fully washable cages with antislip matting, are sealed off from each other, lessening any possible confrontation between dogs and facilitating happy and relaxed transportation.
Dogs soon get to associate going in the van with going on exciting walks and adventures and travel quite happily.
